Form 2290 is used to report and pay the federal vehicle use tax due on highway motor vehicles that are registered, or required to be registered, in your name with a gross weight of 55,000 pounds or more.

Individuals or businesses who own or operate highway motor vehicles with a gross weight of 55,000 pounds or more and are registered or required to be registered in their name.

The completed Form 2290 should be mailed along with payment and schedule 1 to the address provided in the form instructions.
