  • What is a Lumin Software user?

    A Lumin Software user is any user that can log in to Lumin Software. Each Lumin user is connected to one email address.
  • How do Lumin Subscriptions work?

    When a new user joins Lumin, there account type is automatically assigned to the free type. Free accounts have access to a limited amount of storage space and editing features. A free user will never be charged for using the Lumin service. A user can upgrade to the premium or blue accounts to increase the available storage space and access to features.
  • What is the difference between the premium and blue plans?

    The premium plan allows users access to all Lumin editing features and a generous amount of storage space. The blue plan offers more storage space and some additional features that are useful for our power users. Lumin also offers priority support to blue subscribers.
  • What happens if I am not satisfied with my Lumin Software purchase?

    If you're not satisfied with any Lumin product or service, we offer a 30-day money-back guarantee. No questions asked.
  • What payment options do you accept?

    Individual subscriptions are payable by credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Diners Club, JCB or Discover).
  • What is the difference between monthly and yearly billing?

    In monthly billing, you are charged for one month for the chosen plan. In annual billing, you are charged for one year of Lumin usage at a 50% discount compared to the monthly price. Both the monthly plan and the yearly plan automatically renew at the end of the billing cycle.
  • When will my plan renew

    Your plan will automatically renew at the end of your billing cycle. For example, if you subscribed to a monthly or yearly plan on the 2nd of the month will always be billed on the 2nd. We call this renewal day the anchor day. If a month does not have the anchor day, you will be billed on the last day of the month. For example, a subscription starting on January 31st will be billed on February 28th (or 29th in a leap year), then March 31st, April 30th, and so on.
  • Changing between Monthly and Annual plans

    It is possible to move from a monthly plan to an annual plan. When moving from monthly to yearly billing, your first payment will be reduced by the value of any current remaining subscription time. As an example, suppose you are on the Personal plan, which costs $5 per month when billed monthly. You upgrade to an annual subscription in the middle of your billing period and there are 12 remaining days in the month which has 30 days. You will be charged $28 (according to the calculation $30 - $5 / 30 days x 12 days) for the first year of your annual subscription, instead of the usual $30.
  • Upgrading or Downgrading Plans

    It is possible to upgrade from free plan to a premium or blue plan at any time. When upgrading from a premium to an blue plan, you simply pay the difference in plan prices prorated to the amount of time left in the billing cycle. As an example, suppose you are on the Personal plan, which costs $5 per month when billed monthly. You upgrade to monthly Professional subscription in the middle of your billing period and there are 12 remaining days in the month which has 30 days. We will make a one-time charge of $8 (according to the calculation $10 - $5 / 30 days x 12 days) for the first month of your monthly subscription.
  • Where can I find invoices and otherwise manage your subscription

    We provide automatically generated invoices on the billing tab of the user profile settings. To find this page, sign in to the app. Click the profile icon on the top right of the page and then click the “Profile Settings” option from the dropdown. Navigate to the billing section of the user profile page to access invoices, update credit card answers, or manage your subscription.

  • Team member benefits

    Like individual subscriptions, Lumin teams can be upgraded to premium or blue subscription plans. When a team is upgraded, all of the team members will receive editor features consistent with the team subscription plan.
  • Team subscriptions

    You can add and remove users as your team changes. Teams are managed by a team administrator, manage the members in a team at any time. On the monthly system, the owner is charged for the number of users that are in the team at the end of the billing cycle (each month). On the yearly plan, the owner must pre-purchase the plan for a fixed number of users.

  • Upgrade billing cycle (Monthly to Annual) for both Personal and Professional Plan

    As an example, suppose you are on the Personal plan, which costs $5 per month when billed monthly. You upgrade to an annual subscription in the middle of your billing period and there are 6 remaining days in the month which has 30 days. You will be charged $29 ($30 - $5 / 30 days x 6 days) for the first year of your annual subscription and your annual subscription would be valid immediately.
  • What will happen when I upgrade from Monthly Personal Plan to Monthly Professional Plan?

    As an example, suppose you are on the Personal plan, which costs $5 per month when billed monthly. You upgrade to monthly Professional subscription in the middle of your billing period and there are 6 remaining days in the month which has 30 days. We will make a one-time charge of $9 ($10 - $5 / 30 days x 6 days) to your credit card and your monthly professional would be valid immediately.
  • What will happen when I upgrade from Monthly Personal Plan to Yearly Personal Plan?

    As an example, suppose you are on the Personal plan, which costs $5 per month when billed monthly. You upgrade to annual Professional subscription in the middle of your billing period and there are 6 remaining days in the month which has 30 days. We will make an annual subscription charge of $59 ($60 - $5 / 30 days x 6 days) to your credit card and your annual personal subscription would be valid immediately.
  • What will happen when I upgrade from Yearly Personal Plan to Yearly Professional Plan?

    As an example, suppose you are on the Personal plan, which costs $30 per year when billed annually. You upgrade to annual Professional subscription in the middle of your billing period and there are 2 remaining months in the year. We will make an annual subscription charge of $55 ($60 - $30 / 12 months x 2 months) to your credit card.
  • What will happen when I upgrade billing cycle (Monthly to Annual) for Team Plan?

    As an example, suppose your team is on the Team plan, which costs $25 per month (5 members) when billed monthly. You upgrade to annual Team subscription (5 members still) in the middle of your billing period and there are 6 remaining days in the month which has 30 days. We will make an annual subscription charge of $145 ($150 - ($25 / 30 days) x 6 remaining days).
  • What will happen when I add more members to my Monthly Team Plan?

    As an example, suppose your team is on the Team plan, which costs $25 per month (5 members) when billed monthly. You add a new collaborator in the middle of your billing period. We will make you a charge of $30 ($5 x 6 members) when your subscription renews.
  • How can I upgrade to bigger package in Annual Team Plan?

    As an example, suppose your team is on the Team plan, which costs $150 per year (5 members) when billed annually. You upgrade to 10 members in the middle of your billing period and there are 2 remaining months in the year. We will make an annual subscription charge of $275 ($300 - $150 / 12 months x 2 months).
