Form 2350

Form 2350 is the application for extension of time to file a United States income tax return for US citizens and resident aliens abroad who expect to qualify for special tax treatment by meeting either the bona fide residence test or the physical presence test necessary for the foreign earned income exclusion or the foreign housing exclusion or deduction. It is used to request additional time to file when the taxpayer cannot meet these tests by the regular due date of their tax return.
